About Ragnar Sass

Co-Founder of Pipedrive

Marketing intern position available! Limited time offer!

Are we a match made in heaven (or at an important meeting if you don’t believe in that stuff)? Let’s find out.

About us:
We’re a startup building the fastest, easiest and most useful deal and sales management software ever. Pipedrive has grown over a 100% with the last year, gotten over 3 million in funding and received rave reviews from the likes of TechCrunch and Wall Street Journal. We’ve got 40 smiling faces to greet you if you’re the one we’re looking for and that number is growing fast.

About you:
It goes without saying that you’re smart and hardworking with a keen interest in all aspects of marketing. Keep reading if you also have good analytical skills, unstoppable enthusiasm and enviable communication skills. You are fluent in spoken and written English. The cherry on the cake? You can multi-task and solve problems, have great time management, natural attention to detail and some experience of report writing. And you like dogs.

What you’ll be doing:
As you’d imagine, you’ll be assisting our marketing team in every aspect of their work. A lot of the tasks will present themselves on the way, but we can promise you some good-old data collection, analysis, creative writing and preparation work for different projects.

What we offer:
You’ll get a desk and a chair (!) at one of the coolest offices in Estonia. You’ll also get a MacBook Air to work with and as you might have already guessed from the lack of formality in this job description – you will not be dealing with any corporate BS.

If you think we would get along like this bunny and cat, please get in touch via jobs-admin@pipedrive.com. Send your resume (in English) or a link to your LinkedIn profile and please add a few lines on why we should pay extra attention to your application.

Tips for follow-up from Quote Roller, our new integration partner

Quote Roller logoQuote Roller is a tool for creating, sending and tracking proposals, and they’ve just added a Pipedrive integration. If you’re a customer of both services, you can move data between the two very easily; the integration covers syncing Companies and Contacts.

Here are a couple of interesting data points from Quote Roller:

  • 2% of sales are made on the first contact.
  • 3% of sales are made on the second contact.
  • 5% of sales are made on the third contact.
  • 10% of sales are made on the fourth contact.
  • 80% of sales are made on the fifth to twelfth contact.

However, most customers never hear from a salesperson again after one or two initial contacts. When sending a proposal, it is crucial to follow-up with your clients as fast as possible.

Your timing may vary, depending on a business proposal length and complexity. Calling between half an hour and 2 hours after the quote has been opened can really help you stay on top of issues.

One of the benefits of using Quote Roller is that it tells you when is the best time to follow up. The moment your proposal is opened, you get a real-time notification and can see what sections were read carefully and which were skipped, so you can prepare better for the follow-up call. And there are other benefits, such as having all your proposals in one place.

If you need to send lots and lots of written proposals, check Quote Roller out.

Teach Pipedrive new tricks with Zapier

Our vision is to help teams around the world close more deals. Make it easy to understand what your sales pipeline looks like, help find the right deals to focus on and require minimal amount of ‘sales admin’.

On the other hand, our customers have processes other than just direct sales. They issue invoices for closed deals, do marketing campaigns to generate leads, manage projects and do a myriad of other things. We have no plans to add all such functionality to Pipedrive, but we want to make it very easy for Pipedrive to talk to other software.

If you have software development resources, you can make Pipedrive do pretty much anything via our API. If not, you’ll love Zapier. Zapier is a platform that can make connections between the different business software you use, without requiring any programming skills. For example you can use Zapier to:

* Create a new deal in the ‘New leads’ stage in Pipedrive when someone subscribes to your newsletter or fills a Wufoo form on your website

* Create an invoice in Freshbooks if a deal is marked ‘Won‘ in Pipedrive.

* Send a text message to sales manager via Twilio if a deal is moved to stage ‘Offer made’ in Pipedrive

* Start a new task in project management software (Asana, Trello, Pivotal Tracker, etc.) when a deal is marked ‘Won’ in Pipedrive.

Zapier currently supports connections between 164 different pieces of software and the possibilities are almost endless. It is free to use if the number of tasks needed is small, and subscriptions start at $15 per month.

Zapier offers a free trial and they’ve made a 25% off first 3 months offer for the first 10 Pipedrive customers, on a first come first served basis. Check out how Zapier can work with your Pipedrive account, and use the promo code pipedrive_exclusive if you’d like to use the special offer.
